for the exclusion before the Santa Barbara County Assessment
Appeals Board, which granted the recommended exclusion
dollar for dollar.

Street and Shell agreed to become joint venture partners
to build and operate at least eight food court/ service
station combinations. When Shell declined to fund the
joint venture, Main Street brought suit. Paradigm estimated
the value of Main Street's interest in the venture assuming
that the eight restaurants were developed. Bob Patterson
testified at the trial, and the jury awarded Main Street
$18 million. |
